‘Motion is Lotion’ – how to look after your shoulders
We treat people everyday who have aches and pains associated with mobility and posture. Regular movement is essential for blood flow to the muscles and joints. Maintaining adequate strength in your muscles is also important.
As we age, we naturally lose mobility and strength. But there are some steps we can take to keep these joints healthy for longer.
The Guardian has published an article recently about shoulder mobility, with that fab tagline “Motion is Lotion” which essentially means the more we move, the more our joints function normally, muscles and ligaments stretch and all those essential elements that lubricate everything (such as the blood flow, lymph drainage) work in tandem to keep them healthy and mobile.
